THE DESIGN REDESIGNED:

i'm kind of against what i've done here. i was really pleased with my INITIAL DESIGN , but i completely understand that it was hard to understand the design and how it related to otis college of art and design. i hope the above image is much easier to grasp. i'm sure i'll be debating myself on how easy design should be to see, absorb, and understand for the rest of my career.

NOT CONCERT; AN EXPERIENCE:
on february 22nd, george, mike, and i went to the NO AGE/ THE LIARS show at the EL REY THEATRE.

it wasn't the type of show i usually go to, but i am glad i went. after hearing so many things for so long, it was something i had to see.

FORGET THE PROTOCOL.

CONCERT:

ms. samantha and i went to the VAMPIRE WEEKEND show at amoeba records.

there is something absolutely wonderful about a show at amoeba.

the show started at 7. we arrived at 630 and got a pretty nice spot. we didn't have to wait through an opening band, and their set was relatively short(though, longer could have been nicer). following the show, we perused the store for just a bit. most concerts end around midnight, which leaves hardly any time to do anything else that night. with this show, we were driving off the premises by early 8-ish. that is glorious.

BEFORE THE SHOW:

utterly danceable. fun. butt-shakeable.

SOMETHING IS NOT DEAD.

LATEST:
for my illustration elective, we were assigned the task of creating a shirt for a random assortment of things, places, and events.

i pulled out a piece of paper that read OTIS COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN.

i've been all about the lines recently.

i hope you can see it.

UPCOMING PROJECT:

i'm not going to say too much, but i've got an upcoming project i'm extremely excited about.

THE CLUE:

MURAKAMI:

ms. samantha and i were finally able to hit the MURAKAMI EXHIBIT. i think we planned to go about 1,573 times, but the planets finally aligned and we made our way to the MOCA.

OUTSIDE THE EXHIBIT:

f.y.i.: some graffiti artists wanted to play super-flat for a sec and THIS is what happened.

A VIDEO INSIDE THE EXHIBIT:

WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE.

with the large ice storm that destroyed JOPLIN, the debris was piled and i went to photograph.

i happened across the joplin globe photographer and made my way into two front page stories.

the views, pieces, and pull quotes.
