(l to r: ashley)STORY:
the cake-making lady also makes bikes about cherry pie, fireworks, and popsicles. i think people should be required to listen to the national anthem while riding on it.
(l to r: melanie)STORY:
bronze legs of a fawn to complete the table of destiny. looks very nice, ms. melanie.
(l to r: yasmin, jessica, and mary)STORY:
ms. jessica recently informed the junior class she will be leaving otis after this semester. it was definitely a moment of sadness, but it allowed for a chance to reflect on everything i learned with her. the amount of growth i've experienced with HER GUIDANCE
is staggering. she gives herself to her students, and was always willing to spend that extra moment if i needed it. i will really miss having her around.
========================================FROM MOVIES THAT MATTER:STORY:
for the ongoing 'movies that matter' series at otis, THE COVE
was shown last thursday. i didn't know it had won the oscar for best documentary this year, but, now, i understand why. the film was tough, informative, and terrific. it's hard to make some subjects entertaining, but it doesn't hold any punches - and it was better because of it. i give the film a full recommendation.
