ORANGE STREW.

GOING AWAY:

STORY:
i was selected to go to HOLLAND for nine days with the SUMMIT DESIGN PROMGRAMME. after applying earlier this spring and being selected somewhere over a month ago, i leave tomorrow with THE WHOLE GROUP.

to be selected for this programme, we had to submit OUR PORTFOLIO and a proposal for a project that could fill a void in our community. my proposal has two facets. the first was to create a non-profit outreach program for the independent elderly. the second half, that relates more specifically to graphic design, is the creation of a print publication that will document the wisdom of the elderly through interviews and writing - which would later be available for sale and subscription, and would hopefully serve to finance the non-profit.

UNICORN'S POINT OF VIEW:

(l to r: dave[behind the camera])

STORY:
the 'I BELIEVE IN UNICORNS' show was an experience unlike anything i've had before. the INDUSTRIAL SQUID group was great to work with. the people who came out for the show were so nice to meet - and it was great having a ton of friends come out too. i spent most of the evening in the unicorn suit, which you can see more of HERE and HERE. above, you can see the point of view i had most of the evening - though, this photo doesn't do the service of showing how busy it really was.

KIND OF CELEBRATING:

STORY:
ms. gregg invited me out to enjoy the usa england exhibition. it was the beginning of america's world cup chances, and ended with a tie - which most people seemed to consider a victory. afterwards, i wondered around the peterson car museum, and then all around lacma.
