ICE CREAM DAFFODILS.

for my alternative materials course, we are making CYANOTYPES. it is a bit hard to tell in this photograph, but i am using two of courbet's painting for my image - and i shall follow that with some marks of paint onto the surface.

IN A SHOW:


STORY:
i recently made it into a design show called EMERGE that spotlights design from a long list of california design schools. i was fortunate enough to get three pieces in - two posters from WHEN IT HURTS and my christmas card design from last year. the opening reception is wednesday, march 25th from 5 to 8 on the post meridian side of the day.

we had the festival celebrating color for wot/wow. i've always been a terrible at gauging how successful things go, but i had lots of fun and it seemed like the response was great.

the newly formed olive pit took a short hike in malibu. it should be the beginning of many weekend hikes.

the kind, good sir, EDWIN USHIRO, came and visited otis to discuss his work. the timing of his lecture was a unbelievable moment of serendipity - as just a few weeks before, john and i spent around 15 minutes trying to figure out his process on a beautiful piece hanging in the back room of LEBASSE PROJECTS.
