the creator of ROBOT UNICORN ATTACK spoke at ucla. he really broke down the fundamentals and talked a lot about how he made the game. his theories on developing an addictive game were really fascinating – which brought him back to the theory of FLOW many times.

kate came out to visit for a quick visit. we explored areas for housing and enjoyed the nut bacon of rfd. it was great to squeeze this bit before the final onslaught of finals begins.

i went to see GEOFF MCFETRIDGE talk at UCLA DMA. geoff was insightful and well-spoken, as he usually is. i even had the chance to ask him a few questions and talk to him afterwards. he was even kind enough to not acted weirded out by my obvious fanaticism. thanks, geoff!
