KNOCKING WINDOWS.

COLLAB:

sam had a project for her creative practices class. she had seen my photos of water and asked if she could use one. i obliged and the results came out beautifully.

THE ETCH:

the projected was selected as one of the best and can now be found in the teacher's lounge.
congrats ms. gregg.

FLUX:
i went to this screening at the HAMMER MUSEUM for the FLUX SCREENING SERIES.

the show was primarily to debut bjork's new 3D video for her song, wanderlust, but i had many other reasons for going. primarily, geoff mcfetridge was screening a piece and i presumed he might talk following.

i ask out of class early and picked up my good friend, jamie. we got there right before 7, and came to see a line of about 400 people. i knew i had rsvp'd, but i wasn't sure if it would do anything.

flux really messed up the seating situation though. i understand rsvp doesn't mean getting a seat, but they should only reply to the first 100 to tell them they received a seat. the rest should be first come first serve.

eh, yeah... i was frustrated. oh well. if i could have gotten there earlier, i would have.

THE INCREDIBLE VIDEO(or see a higher quality version HERE):

the video took almost a year to do make and finish,i believe. you won't see something this polished again for a long time. elaborate music videos have really gone into a recession. this is absolutely beautiful though.

click HERE to see the long list of all involved and an interview with the directors, encyclopedia pictura, and bjork.

REDCAT:
GEOFF MCFETRIDGE had a show at REDCAT with ED FELLA.

the show was great and i was able to see geoff's new pieces. it was nice to see lots of things i hadn't come across before.
