STORY:
we began the day with a meal at a vegetarian restaurant in san jose. i believe this was the first time in my life where i had been able to eat a bit of something off each plate.

STORY:
the top stop of most tourists and we joined the masses. though, it was mostly used as our backdrop to a barrage of fist fighting between the ladies.

into the hills, we tread. drivers were unsurprisingly not fazed by our group standing in the middle of the streets.

our fourth of july was spent in sausolito, and simply full of joy - though, the show wasn't anything worth writing home about.

after we realized lodging was much more than we had allotted, we proceeded to santa rosa to stay at ms. lindsey's casa. worn down, we all slept well.

OFF:

before taking off, we had to pick up a few snacks. rock-paper-scissors was used to determine if we should stop now or later. the final decision was now.

the first scheduled stop was for a coffee related drink, which actually happened to be quite tasty.

into monterey, we stopped for our first ocean experience. we marked the place and a couple of us were splashed heavily.

our first photoshoot of the trip occurred in carmel. we caught just enough sunlight to shoot the things we needed.

we caught a dinner in monterey after a bit of trouble deciding where to go. we raced the clock to make it there before they closed. in the end, it was everything we needed and they had spoons for sitting on the nose.

BIRTHDAY:

STORY:
the workers snuck out on nicole to sing her a song for her birthday. she walked away with a story and a sombrero.

we visitied SFMOMA, which truly housed many beautiful pieces. sadly, we were kicked out of the robert frank exhibit halfway through; thus, i can only say half of his THE AMERICANS series was great.

the annual OLIVE RHYME trip occurred. it was daunting, and perfect. we explored muir woods, salem, portland, seattle, yellowstone, salt lake city, and zion. the photo above is a decent photo description of what the trip was like, and that word was tiring.

a couple years ago, i read about a GEOFF MCFETRIDGE show in seattle. i never thought i'd have the opportunity to see show, but, suprisingly, it was still up. in fact, it was the last couple weeks before it was taken down.

i slobbered all over the floor.

one of my best friends, matt, is getting married. the celebration was held at a cardinal's game, which was my first ever time in the sea of red. it was a scorcher, but the weather had cooled a bit from a few days before. the cardinals lost, but a lot was gained.
